The Passover Seder is the oldest continuous religious service conducted in the world today. Given to the Jewish people some 3,300 years ago it still has relevance. Jesus was celebrating the Passover the night of the last supper. It was the elements of the Passover that Jesus used to introduce the Christian Communion. Christians have found that a better understanding of the Passover has greatly enhanced their understanding of Communion service. The Christ in the Passover presentation has served to improve the awareness and the worship of the Communion and has built bridges of understanding between Christians and their Jewish friends and neighbors.

Our presenter will be Rev. Mitch Triestman.

Mitch Triestman is serving the Lord with the Friends of Israel Gospel ministry. Mitch received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Bible from the Philadelphia College of Bible. After ten years of serving as the Philadelphia area director for the Chosen People Ministries, he returned to school at the Biblical Theological Seminary where he received a Master’s degree in Bible.

Mitch is the author of four books, the textbook Witnessing Biblically, an evangelistic Bible study book, Abraham the Committed Christian, a collection of sermons on Bible prophecy entitled Are we there yet? and Torah, Torah, Torah, a search for all the Christological teachings in the first five books of the Scriptures; as well as a multitude of articles in magazines and journals.

Rev. Triestman has been active in the field of Jewish Evangelism for more than forty years. His experiences in the field and his study of the scriptures from a Jewish perspective have made him a fascinating teacher. He has been a keynote speaker at numerous mission conferences. His extensive studies in the areas of Biblical prophecy and in Judaica make him an intriguing lecturer at a prophecy conference or in training on the feasts of Israel and Jewish customs in the Scriptures.

What is Corporate Prayer?

What is Corporate Prayer?

  1. It is a focus on our relationship with God as opposed to a vending machine approach where we pray primary to get personal things from God.
  2. We spend time telling God what we like about Him and His character.
  3. We spend time in thanking Him for what he has done in our church as a whole.
  4. Sometimes we wait in silence before Him just soaking up His manifested presence.
  5. If we ask for things, the focus is on the big picture, the progress of our church as a whole:
    • leading people to a personal relationship with Jesus,
    • making faithful disciples of converts,
    • who will in turn, train other disciples,
    • so that the world is transformed into the character of our Lord Jesus Christ.
